Terry Watson Receives American College of Healthcare Architects Distinction

October 21, 2020

Terry Watson, an architect with Cromwell Architects Engineers, has become a Certified Healthcare Architect through the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA).

ACHA provides Board Certification for Architects who practice as healthcare specialists. ACHA offers the only specialty board certification that is recognized by The American Institute of Architects. Certification provides assurance that an architect practicing as a healthcare designer has demonstrated expertise through a portfolio of work that is independently reviewed by board certified healthcare architects, informed knowledge of healthcare design and processes based on having passed a rigorous exam, and achieved continuing education to stay current in the healthcare industry on an annual basis.

“With Terry Watson as one of the only American College of Healthcare Architects in Arkansas, Cromwell continues to build its credentials as the premier healthcare design firm in the state,” former Cromwell CEO Charley Penix, said. “This allows our healthcare clients to have confidence in our team and know that we have expertise in the healthcare industry and are up-to-date on all of the current issues, trends, and requirements for their projects.”

Terry Watson has 30 years of experience practicing architecture. He is a graduate of the Fay Jones School of Architecture at the University of Arkansas, a LEED AP designer, member of the U.S. Green Building Council, and a member of the American Institute of Architects. Watson has worked over 6,000 hours in the last five years on healthcare related projects. His most notable work includes OrthoArkansasWhite River Medical Center, and Baxter Regional Ambulatory Surgery Center.
