Cromwell Architects Engineers received the Challenge level award from Governor Asa Hutchinson at the Arkansas Governor’s Quality Awards banquet at the Marriott Ballroom in downtown Little Rock on September 15, 2021. The Governor’s Quality Award is awarded through the Arkansas Institute for Performance Excellence, a non-profit organization in association with the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce.
The Challenge level is the starting point for any organization expressing interest in adopting and applying quality principles as defined by the seven categories of the Baldrige Excellence Framework criteria.
“Going through the application process has motivated us to change and improve our business,” Cromwell President Dan Fowler said. “We’re able to assess our business as it currently stands and assess our performance against other organizations that aren’t in our industry. We’ve found it to be an incredibly valuable process and look forward to further delving into our business as we move forward with the other award levels.”
To complete the process, Cromwell received training through the AIPE and completed an application that provided an organizational snapshot of where there are gaps within the organization. After applying, Cromwell received a written feedback report based on the information provided in the application.
“Cromwell is committed to excellence and continuing this process is a way to show that commitment to our internal team, our clients, and the economic development community of the State of Arkansas,” Fowler said.
