Manila, Arkansas, located in the northeast part of Arkansas, is currently experiencing strong economic growth. The traditional agricultural economy of the region is becoming increasingly high tech and the area is seeing major growth in the manufacturing sector. In recognition of these trends, the Manila community expressed a need for a new high school that has a strong orientation toward technology and research. This new 138,413 SF high school is designed for 1,500 students in 30 classrooms, grades 9 through 12. The primary elements of the facility include a library, a gymnasium with lockers, a fine arts complex and auditorium, a dining hall and kitchen, and classrooms including labs and vocational spaces.
