JoAnn’s promotion represents years of dedication to creating spaces that are both beautiful and purposeful. Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated that exceptional interior design goes beyond finishes and furnishings; it begins with understanding how people experience a space and designing environments that improve the way they work, heal, learn, and connect.
A graduate of Harding University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design, JoAnn has built an impressive portfolio spanning corporate, healthcare, retail, hospitality, government, and multi-family projects. Her diverse experience allows her to approach every project with a balance of creativity, technical expertise, and practical problem-solving, delivering solutions that support each client’s goals.
Her work has earned recognition throughout the design community, including ASID South Central Excellence in Design Awards, highlighted by the prestigious Best of Commercial Award. While these honors recognize exceptional design, those who work alongside JoAnn know that her greatest strengths extend well beyond her portfolio. She is respected for her collaborative leadership, attention to detail, commitment to mentorship, and ability to bring together clients, consultants, and project teams to achieve exceptional results.
JoAnn assumed the role of Director of Interior Design following Cynthia Hawkins’ transition to Regional Director of Cromwell’s Northwest Arkansas office. Having worked alongside JoAnn for many years, Cynthia expressed complete confidence in her successor and the future of the department.

Since stepping into the role, JoAnn has continued to build upon the strong reputation of Cromwell’s Interior Design practice while fostering collaboration across disciplines and mentoring the next generation of designers. Her leadership reflects Cromwell’s commitment to creating environments that not only meet functional and operational needs but also inspire the people who occupy them.
As Director of Interior Design, JoAnn oversees the firm’s interior design strategy, project delivery, team development, and client engagement. Working closely with architects, engineers, and project managers, she continues to champion an integrated design approach that delivers thoughtful, innovative, and enduring solutions across every market.
