Cromwell provided architecture and engineering services for Southwind Milling for a 40,913 SF rice mill including layout and design of the buildings and foundations per the owner’s equipment layout. Southwind Milling is located at the port of Pine Bluff’s industrial development district along the Arkansas River and is primarily focused on the industrialization and marketing of rice.

The scope of work included a security shed, rough rice lab with truck scales, rough rice dump area with cleaning equipment, dryers, storage bins, conveyors, and elevators for storage area, power distribution and electrical room, maintenance building, rice mill, bran and hull loadout, flour mill, packaging building, milled rice storage area, bulk truck load out, bulk rail load out, and shipping and warehouse.
