The Mississippi River State Park Visitor Center serves as the primary visitor contact point at Mississippi River State Park.  The Visitor Center promotes the region’s numerous tourist attractions, interpretation of the area’s history and culture, the Mississippi and St. Francis Rivers, and related impacts to the economy and environment.

The Visitor Center facility acts as a central location for visitor services including camper and cabin registration, visitor gift sales and concessions, and dispersal of information and literature. The facility serves as the primary administrative center for park and forest operations and houses both Arkansas State Parks and United States Forestry Service administrative staff including the park superintendent, assistant superintendent, rangers, technicians, and bookkeeping staff. The facility also serves as the park’s interpretive and education center, including office space for the park interpreters, an exhibit gallery, multi-purpose classroom, and audio-visual orientation room.
