Melissa is a dedicated Specifications Writer with a strong background in art, architecture, and history. When she’s not working on specifications, she enjoys reading, drawing, and painting, and values her time with family. Her career in specification writing was heavily influenced by her mentor, Betty Hays, who guided her through the early stages and inspired her to continue learning and sharing knowledge.

Melissa dreamed of being an artist in Paris but found her passion in the world of specifications. Known for her hard work and dedication, she enjoys seeing design documents come to life in the built environment. Outside of work, she’s a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Arkansas Razorbacks and looks forward to weekends filled with the outdoors, fishing, and hunting.

Her life motto, “Never Stop Learning; Keep Moving Forward,” drives her both professionally and personally. Melissa approaches life and keeps her spirit alive through her hobbies and various sports interests.
