Structural Engineer

Position Overview | 

Cromwell Architects Engineers has an opening for a Structural Engineer with 5+ years' experience in structural engineering design of building projects from initial concept through construction documents. This position will be located at our Springdale, AR office. MSCE or equivalent preferred. Experience with RISA and Revit is preferred. BSCE or equivalent and PE required.

Position Purpose

The Structural Engineer will work with architects, other engineers, clients, and contractors, to design new structural framing and foundations for architectural and industrial facilities and assess existing buildings and design modification of existing structures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Structural Analysis and Design
  • Work with REVIT technicians to develop structural plans and details.
  • Edit structural specifications.
  • Review contractor shop drawings and other submittals
  • Travel (as required) – not extensively, but there will be occasional trips in state, across the country, and more rarely internationally.

Competencies

  • 5+ years of industry experience in the following
    • Design of building projects from initial concept through construction documents
    • Assessments of existing buildings
    • Design modification to existing buildings.

Qualifications / Prior Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering
  • Professional Engineering (PE) Licensure
