Weston is a San Antonio native in the Natural State. He says that even though he’s not from here, he still keeps up with the Razorbacks. And, of course, the Spurs.

His favorite quote is from The Way of Zen by Alan W. Watts, “To be free from convention is not to spurn it, but not to be deceived by it.” Weston believes in respecting conventional ideas, but also being constantly open minded to new ideas and change. He thinks if we find that convention is wrong, we should be willing to change instead of hanging on to them to our own detriment. He says this has been extremely beneficial in his professional and personal life.

As a kid, Weston wanted to be a firefighter or paramedic. That eventually led him to a career in fire protection engineering. Weston says what he most enjoys about working at Cromwell is the constant challenge of learning something new. And, with fire code, there’s always something new to learn that he’s teaching us.
