As someone with broad interests in the physical, spiritual, tangible and intangible; Charley embraces architecture as the consummate profession encompassing everything of value in human history. He enjoys the facilitation of team work, consensus building, and the recognition of the unique talents of every member of design collaboration.In the 1970's before pursuing a career in architecture, Charley attended Georgetown University as a political science student and worked in the U.S. Senate. After graduating from the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture, Charley interned in New York City for world-renown architect I.M. Pei, where he received a Progressive Architecture citation for his work on the Mission Bay Master Plan in San Francisco.

Born in 1954 in Jonesboro, AR, Charley was the third child among four. Raised by progressive attorney parents actively engaged in the civil rights movement, he enjoyed growing up in a mythically perfect small town where everyone nurtured and supported each other and where children roamed and explored freely in the pursuit of adulthood.

In addition to architecture; Charley enjoys biking, running, skiing, traveling and a good glass of wine with those he loves (which includes just about everybody).
